After returning to the Coachella Valley in 2018 and reopening my private practice, I am humbled by hurting yet courageous individuals who have reached out to me for guidance. I am reminded how important it is to provide a safe space for clients to share their pain and experience a healing environment of support. It is my goal to meet you in your vulnerable place with unconditional respect and regard and to guide you gently in your journey of recovering.

My areas of experience and expertise include abuse and trauma. I work with individuals and couples who have experienced sexual abuse. It is paramount to me that I address recovery with sensitivity and tenderness while we address the shame, secrecy, and stigma which accompany these injuries. I also work with Adult Children of Alcoholics and other family of origin issues such as unhealthy mother-daughter relationships. I also work compassionately with couples who are struggling with their relationship and who want a more loving respectful partnership.

Although I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my therapy, it is critical to the therapeutic relationship that I connect with my clients. This requires that I listen intently and respond empathically, while asking questions which shift clients into healthier ways of thinking, behaving, and feeling. After counseling many years in a faith-based organization, I am sensitive to diverse spiritual beliefs and persuasions of individuals and fully support their desire to incorporate those practices into their healing work.

Currently, I work on Wednesdays - Fridays 9:00 am - 4:00pm, in person or via teletherapy.

I also work in the field of psychology as an author, speaker, and workshop presenter. I have authored numerous recovery books including "Daughters Betrayed By Their Mothers: Moving From Brokenness To Wholeness," "Breaking Through Betrayal 2nd Edition," and "Power Down & Parent Up" (screen dependence and cyber bullying).
