Join us for a special all-day event honoring 30 years of connection, service, and growth within our Desert CAMFT community. This milestone gathering is designed to nourish, inspire, and celebrate the heart of our profession — you.
The day will include:
- Two dynamic presenters (Keynote with Holli Kenley: "Do We Possess the Courage to Grow?" and “No More Rambling! Making a Positive Impression and Speaking With Confidence About Your Practice!” with Nick Bognar)
- A deeply restorative sound bath experience
- A delicious catered lunch
- Plenty of time to connect with colleagues old and new
Registration allows you to join us for part or all of the following schedule (9:30-10am is check-in, 3:45-4pm is closure):

Here is the specific description for Holli's CE keynote:
- Holli will deliver a keynote about courage, transformation and the how to embody joy in your life. In his book “How To Be Bold: And The Surprising Science of Everyday Courage” (September 2025, Harper Collins), organizational scholar Ranjay Gulati states, “Courage is a learned behavior, not an innate one.” But is that always true? Drawing upon research within her book “SHIFTING Bravely: A Path To Growth, Healing, and Transformation (January 2022, Loving Healing Press, Inc.) and her work with clients, Holli Kenley will present a different perspective on the organic genesis of courage and its impact on growth in our lives.

- Nick will present and help therapists create a concise, authentic elevator pitch that reflects their values and clinical work, especially useful for building referral networks that support private practice growth.

In this interactive workshop, attendees will engage in a three-part process for uncovering their courage while gaining therapeutic insights to assist their clients for doing the same.
At the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to:
- Describe or define courage in several different ways.
- Describe a three-part process for understanding the genesis of courage and its impact on growth.
- Apply the three-part process into their lives and to integrate it into their therapeutic approaches.
Nick's
At the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to:
- Explain how referral networks work, and why they matter.
- Identify the 3 reasons people select a referral.
- Identify the 3 components of an effective and well-constructed “elevator pitch."
Presenter(s)
Holli Kenley, Author, Educator, Speaker, Mentor, Therapist is a six-time peer presenter at California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists’ Annual State Conferences and TEDx Talk presenter.
Nick Bognar, therapist, business coach, podcaster is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Nick Bognar Coaching, LLC. Based in Pasadena, CA, he owns a thriving private practice with five associates and specializes in men’s mental health and codependence. Much of his clinical work centers on helping clients set healthy boundaries and step out of limiting relationship patterns. In addition to his therapy practice, Nick is the creator of Action Practice Building, a coaching program and digital course designed to help therapists grow sustainable, relationship-based, values- driven private practices. Drawing on his experience across business, hospitality, and therapy, Nick teaches clinicians how to build their caseloads through authentic, nourishing professional relationships—without relying on hustle or gimmicks. Nick has been featured on NPR, The New York Times, Medium, and other outlets. Whether in the therapy room, through his coaching programs, or as a media contributor, he is passionate about helping people live fuller lives, strengthen their relationships, and grow practices that align with their deepest values.
