Attorney Luke Martin takes an in-depth look at Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act from the standpoint of what the California Penal Code states. Mr. Martin examines why the law was created, who qualifies as a mandated reporter, the various types of abuse and neglect as well as concludes with how to actually make a report. Various scenarios will be presented throughout and as time permits questions will be answered on specific instances.

Luke Matthew Martin began as a Staff Attorney at CAMFT in
April of 2019. He has completed his Bachelor's degree in
English and Political Science, Master of Business
Administration, and Juris Doctorate Degree specializing in
Child Family and Elder Law with honors.
Prior to coming to CAMFT, Luke had a private practice focusing on civil litigation and served as general counsel for several businesses with annual revenues totaling well over $5 million. He has been recognized by the State Bar of California for his legal service to domestic violence victims and awarded the Wiley E. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services.
In addition to his work at CAMFT, Luke also serves on multiple committees, boards, and as an associate faculty/lecturer for several colleges and universities.
